My safe haven
Decimated
Ripped away from me
In hopes to strengthen
Well wishes of
Lessons learned
Fitting pieces together
A jigsaw puzzle
So well loved
Missing pieces
Are the norm
Expected
No matter
We fill in the blanks
From memory
Built upon
Tradition
Connection
Suppression
Of differences
For commonality
For false claims
They call it
Unison
Unmasked
Manipulated easily
Mass mentality
Mob rules
The tendency
Is to herd
Innate in most
The Queen's dog

The impact
The endless repairs
A blow to the heart

The rays of a dying red sun flashed against the onrushing blade. The grey beards say the key to dueling lies in size, speed, reach, righteous fury, whatever the person in front of them pays them to say.
