A trickle of light

Shimmering Light

Through the cracks it sneaks

Scary are the creaks

Just taking a peek

Seemed out of reach

Wasn't sure how there could be a breach

The angle that emanates

Nothing that translates

But this light is ever so bright

Just as well it doesn't bite

Looking up it gave me a fright

It was the darkest night

To breathe it took all my might

The cold caused such blight

New I needed to fight

There was something that didn't feel right

So cold I thought I was going to lose my sight

Needed to get through this night

The slightest sound gave me a fright

This light that flickered through the bight

Such was the nature of shimmering light

For Fun
