She Taught Me How to love her

The night I was her only man

She Taught Me How To Love Her

She lit my skin with laughter

a flame I never knew

her kiss was heat and hunger

her eyes the deepest blue

She wrote her name in silence

across my waiting chest

a mark that will not vanish

a brand that feels like rest

Her body spoke in whispers

I listened with my hands

a language made of fever

no one else understands

She taught me how to burn

and keep the fire sweet

to lose myself completely

and call the loss complete

Her touch consumes me

a storm I cannot flee

every sigh she leaves behind

becomes a part of me

I drown in her presence

but I do not want to breathe

every gasp and shiver

is a gift I’ll always keep

When night surrenders

to the slow dawn of our skin

I find her there beside me

where all my storms begin
