She Said No

by: Teresa J. Lavender - these are the lyrics to a song

By Teresa LavenderPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

She stood by the fire remembering how she used to feel

now she wonders if those memories were real

she's not sure why she came her – it's not where she wants to be

but sometimes she craves familiarity

he asks her if she wants to have some fun

but she knows what it will cost her when it's done

so she said, “no”.

(chorus)

she said "no, I guess I'd rather be alone "

she said "no, I guess I'll be going home

Though it might feel good to have someone to hold

but if all you want is fun I'll just go”

she said, ”no”

he said, “baby, I can make you feel real nice

I know how to take the sadness from your eyes

I can put a smile on your face

baby, let's go to my place

let me rock your world all night long”

but, she said, “no.”

(repeat chorus)

she said, “no, I'm not your baby,

your sweetie, hon, or dear

and if fun is all I am to you then I'll be leaving here

I know that I've been here a time or two

but it's just not worth it knowing

I mean nothing to you

(repeat chorus)
