She is a dinosaur

Reclusive yet so caring

Has taken several forms,

Including human, oh, so daring

She's conquered several norms.

Watchful, ancient, protective

She's been a tree, the sea, a detective

How much wisdom has been gained

From something over a million years reigned?

She's uncoiled, always chuckling when they've found a fossil

Her purest of forms: it had been much more colossal.

She nurtures, she caters, she's one with Earth

She's watched birds evolve from her; she's so much worth

She's become part of them and, oh, so much more

This wise and perfect woman–

She is a dinosaur.
