She Goes Nature Walk

She finds bliss in nature

She goes nature walk

every single day,

as if she is committed.

She looks mindfully,

paying attention to everything.

She admires spectacles

pyracantha, rockrose, bottlebrush,

acorn, bird nest, chrysalis

wild mustards on blue hills,

the smudgy clouds, amber

crescent moon, golden hour.

She listens to finch songs,

chatter of circling swallows,

wind through sycamore canopy

rattling of dry pods.

She relishes feijoa petals

redbud or wild strawberry,

whatever she finds free.

She basks in the the smell of

acacia, rosemary, magnolia

lavender, lemon, gardenia.

She enjoys the touch of

season's breeze, cold or hot

better if silky, and ambient.

She finds enrichment —

When she does ritual,

life feels rich, and alive.

She is nostalgic, immigrant,

but feels supported, content.
