The Friend You Forgot About A Long Time Ago

She's out there somewhere, living her best life,

She's still dancing, singing, and writing,

She walks around no longer crying, but smiling,

She has someone to love, who thinks the whole

world of her,

She has family and friends who never give up on

her,

She is happier than she has ever been throughout her

entire life,

She wakes up early to greet the morning sun that

dances through her window,

She feels that time has past and she must keep

moving forward;

She wants to tell you that you can't rewrite history,

And turn her back into that vulnerable, young female

who you once walked all over,

She keeps moving forward, and she'll never look backward,

She doesn't see black eyes or bruises that you imprinted on

her skin in the past anymore,

She sees beauty in looking after her body and her face,

Which glow day after day

She sees sparkles in her beautiful brown eyes,

Hair that is so healthy that it swings,

And a smile that is the truest smile anybody has

ever known;

This is from the friend you forgot about a long time ago,

She's glad you forgot about her,

Because her life screams no more,

Her life now smiles around her, in the way,

It was meant to smile from the start.
