Shattered Sanctuary

Family Abuse

By CrissziaPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

In the shadowed corners of a broken home,

A chilling tale of family strife is known.

A silent storm, concealed behind closed doors,

Where love's embrace withers to unseen wars.

Words become weapons, cutting like shards of glass,

Leaving scars unseen, memories that will last.

The sanctuary once cherished, now a prison cell,

Where fear's suffocating grip casts its spell.

Invisible bruises, both physical and deep,

A cycle of abuse, where secrets silently creep.

Innocence shattered, trust left in ruins,

The pain of wounds that no time can undo.

Let us be the beacon of love's healing light,

A refuge for the wounded, a shelter from the night.

Together we can build a haven, strong and true,

Where love prevails, and the broken find rescue.
