Sharing an Umbrella

"Beneath the storm's relentless pour,

We found a refuge, nothing more.

Two strangers met by chance, by fate,

In rain’s embrace, we stood and wait.

A single umbrella, small and worn,

Sheltered us from the tempest's scorn.

Close together, hearts in sync,

In that brief moment, our souls did link.

Drops of silver, cold and bright,

Turned the day to softened light.

We laughed at how the heavens wept,

As memories in the rain were kept.

Your smile, a beacon through the mist,

A fleeting touch, a gentle twist.

Two hands on one umbrella’s frame,

Sharing warmth despite the rain.

Words unspoken, silence deep,

In that cocoon, secrets we keep.

The world around us disappeared,

In our small world, nothing to be feared.

The rain became a symphony,

A backdrop to our harmony.

In sharing shelter, something grew,

A fragile bond between us two.

As the storm began to wane,

And sunshine peeked through drops of rain,

We knew our paths would soon diverge,

Yet in our hearts, a lingering surge.

For in that simple act of care,

Two souls had found a moment rare.

Sharing an umbrella, brief and sweet,

A connection made, a memory complete."
