I remember the times

When I’d sit and stare at you

And sometimes

When I could draw the shapes

Of your beautiful face

Your soft hair

Your sweet smile

I missed how I could outline the shape of you

In my mind and my heart

And maybe on paper

When I’d draw you

But there are times when I remember you

It brings me to tears every time

Because I know you’re not here anymore

And I’m still waiting for you

I know I’m supposed to forget you

To erase you from my heart

From my mind

Like I said I would

But I can’t.

I just can’t.

I love you.

You’re everything to me.

And I’d always draw the shape of you

Your sweet smile etched in my memory.
