Shallow Waters, Deep Magic
The New Moon’s calls for inner transformation

Shadows can’t hold me, my bones sing of healing
Therapy worked and I feel all my feelings.
It’s rare, it’s insane, and it feels perfectly framed.
No dark games for me, just rose petals on my altar
While they wave their weapons,
Envious and contemptuous, sirens flickering.
My mind is traversing shivering realms of beyond.
I’m making peace with my demons
Mending what’s broken, forgiving the wicked
Whispering prayers to the sacred night
What a beautiful and divine New Moon, so bright!
November in Scorpion, what a revelation!
Diving into the deep end of my soul, I call out
This moon makes me face my shadows,
I try and look at the parts of myself that are lost.
Hidden mixed-up pieces of a puzzle in my mind
Uncomfortable, but oh so powerful!
A cosmic cleaning in fall for my inner world.
I feel it’s time to dig deep, let go, and make room
For what is needed now, for new growth.
My spells are like whispers, regurgitated,
My hope floats on shallow waters
Hearing echoes of screams from long ago,
*** r e p l i c a t e d***
Buried and unearthed suspensions of thought.
The wise women before spoke in secret tongues
Herbs and magic hidden in their homes
Hush-hush, don’t tell anyone, they’d say
Magic seen means magic dead.
This is for you, women of old, my guides,
Lost and forgotten, your stories left untold,
I sing to honor your hidden power,
My voice is a balm for your wounded hours,
Witches of old, powerful, and strong.
