In the heart of the city, where dreams intertwine,
A tale unfolds beneath the thin, charred line.
Voices whisper softly, yet screams are unheard,
In the cacophony of silence, injustice stirred.
Oh, the skin we wear, like armor or chain,
A shroud of division; a cloak of disdain.
In shadows of silence, where truth often hides,
The human spirit, fractured, yet fiercely abides.
They walk down the avenue, heads held up high,
But in the eyes of the beholder, their worth is a lie.
Laughter is stifled, and hope fades away,
In the realms of exclusion, where the outcasts sway.
A mother holds tightly to her child in the night,
Whispers of worry, lessons of fright.
“Stay close to my side; don’t wander too far,
The world can be cruel; it’s best left ajar.”
Each glance is a dagger, each word a cruel jest,
In the theater of life, we’re denied the best.
Yet, courage blooms in the cracks of the dirt,
Resilience, a beacon, in the face of the hurt.
For in every dismissal, every harsh, biting word,
A revolution is brewing, a voice that is stirred.
No longer in shadows, we rise from the dust,
In unity’s name, we reclaim what we trust.
With hearts synchronized, like a drumbeat of hope,
We march through the alleys, together we cope.
No more will we whisper, no more will we cower,
For love is our weapon; together we tower.
Look into the eyes that once carried despair,
See the light of determination, see the power laid bare.
For beneath our differences, a truth shines so bright,
We are more than our labels; we are fire and light.
Discrimination may linger, like a ghost in the night,
But our spirits are armor; our spirits ignite.
Let the world bear witness to our resolute grace,
We are the change-makers; we shall take our place.
No more will we linger in shadows of shame,
We will rise as a chorus, forever proclaim:
“Together in courage, in all our own skin,
We'll shatter the silence; this battle we’ll win.”
With every heartbeat, every echoing name,
We’ll dismantle the walls, we’ll extinguish the flame.
For in the tapestry woven of diversity's thread,
We’ll weave a new future, where all are widespread.
So stand tall, beloved, and cast off your fear,
For together we’ll flourish, united and clear.
No discrimination shall silence our song,
In harmony, we flourish; together, we belong.
