In the realm of trust, a serpent coils,
Unseen beneath deceptive toils.
Betrayal's cloak, a treacherous guise,
Hides behind a veil of friendly skies.

A knife in the back, a venomous sting,
The echoes of betrayal, they do ring.
A friend turned foe, a love unkind,
Leaving scars upon the wounded mind.

In the sanctuary of shared confide,
A seed of doubt is sown inside.
The ones we cherish, once so near,
Now stand as strangers, cold and austere.

Promises broken, bonds undone,
Like fading stars, lost in the sun.
The pain of betrayal, sharp and deep,
A wound that leaves the soul to weep.

Yet in the ashes of trust betrayed,
A phoenix rises, unafraid.
From the embers of a broken heart,
Strength emerges, a brand new start.

For in the darkness, lessons grow,
A path to wisdom, we come to know.
Betrayal's cruel and bitter taste,
Helps us see through masks misplaced.

In forgiveness lies the key,
To break the chains of treachery.
To heal the hurt, to mend the scar,
And find the strength to journey far.

Though shadows of betrayal may persist,
The light of hope can still persist.
In choosing love over bitter strife,
We reclaim the beauty of this life.
