Shadow-Self
A tautogram detailing the contentious, push-pull relationship between ourselves and our shadows.

Seeking severance,
Similar, slender silhouettes
stagger, stutter, stumble…
Silently screaming, spitting, shouting,
Slicing silence spanning
separate solitudes.
She: skeleton skin soul,
Shadow: smudged shape-shifting space,
Sinews sewn somehow
seamlessly secure.
Sliding semblances
sundered solid—
—sealing some
storied, single, soul.
