Shades

I've always worn purple

I think it helps me to survive

There's just something about it

that makes me feel more alive

It has so many shades some pink some almost blue

Maybe it's quite like me as my mood has such shades too

For sometimes I'm so joyful

I simply bounce around

There's an energy that fills me

lifts my feet up off the ground

But at other times I'm darker sunk down to those deeper hues

But if I'm dressed in purple can I really have the blues?

My heart it overflows at times,

the world is full of pain

And those sorrows deeply urt me,

push me close to quite insane

There's avenues like therapy that help me where they can

But I think its really purple that reminds me who I am
