Shades

Spewing Toxins

By Noah BaldwinPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

Take a seat and listen to me lecture.

Spew some garbage that rots inside your head.

And someday you’ll be like me,

Another ripped page blowing in the wind.

Forget what you can’t remember,

And they can’t take what you won’t have.

Discover the lack of pleasure,

Or insistently fail.

I’m nothing but a silhouette

that you’ll never distinguish,

And when you’ve found me,

You’ll have lost yourself.

So let me warp you. Let my claws open your mind.

Reaching in deep, Searching for what they'll never find.

Twist that tongue and tell me lies,

And push me further till I say goodbye.
