Shades

brown surrounds me

brown in everything I see

more than just the dirt and tree

brown was never ugly, not to me

so many shades with many different ways

of creating the human race

two shades conjoined

naturally grown then exerted from my loins

it caused me pain but brought more joy

a tiny bit of brown more precious than coins

the tan of her skin, the dark of her eyes

this brown has been the best prize.

i stare all day, i hold all night
