Sewing a New Path

O3

By James GreenPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

She had always known deep down inside

That she was meant for something more than the life she currently occupied

She wanted to create, to inspire, to lead

But in a world that often favours the wealthy and elite, it's hard to take the first step with speed

But she had a fire inside, a passion that burned

And she knew that she had to take her chance, to make her dream a reality, a lesson to be learned

From the moment she could hold a needle and thread

She knew she had a talent, something special to be said

So she set out on a journey, a path of her own

Determined to make a name for herself, to be known

She worked tirelessly, pouring her heart and soul into every seam

Ignoring the doubters, the naysayers, the voices that screamed

As she worked, the fabrics and threads seemed to take on a life of their own

Twisting and turning, forming and morphing, they became something unknown

But she didn't let it phase her, she just kept on going

Determined to bring her vision to life, no matter what the cost, no matter where it was showing

And when she was finally ready, she showed the world what she could do

Her designs were met with applause, a dream come true

She had made it, against all odds, and she knew

That she was meant to be a fashion designer, her dream finally coming through

But it wasn't just the clothes that were otherworldly, it was the way she made them

The way the fabrics seemed to dance and flow as she braided and beaded and displayed them

She was a fashion designer, a dreamer, a creator

And she knew that her journey had only just begun, a new chapter, a new theatre
