I come from a time when hue was still new.
The world was black and white.
The war had begun on who was wrong and who was right.
I had to choose a side, like all the rest.
I looked to my Father; he always knew best.
The line had been drawn in the sand.
So, I dug in my heels and I took a stand.
I found solace in the shadow of our stained-glass Chapel.
Faithfully aligned with the Colorblind.
I’ve spent a lot of time thinking, as a vet, long in the tooth.
Each flashback of battle has brought me closer to the truth.
I was wrong and I was stubborn. Even for me, change is scary.
I admire your fight for your right to whom to marry.
You should know that I’m sorry and that I love you before I go…
And that I’ve also found my truth at the end of a Rainbow.
