Reflection

No place to hide from all the rain

Refraction

Standing tall still feeling pain

Dispersion

A clearing of onlookers in their disdain.

In this visible show of color

Arms outstretched reaching up

Seeking strength in all dominion

No bias to remain

Weapons of opinion

Decidedly of no gain.

I love red

Red speaks of beating hearts

Courageous and willing to stand and strive

The color of our blood so thick

Pumping life and pulsing energy

It is this color that tells me I’m alive.

I admire orange

Orange wishes to make amends

Making whole what once was broken

Orange is sweet surrender

Finding who you are meant to be

Cause there can be no other.

I adore yellow

Yellow radiates in the heat of summer

Casting rays from far away

Shining into each tomorrow

Making what once was dark

A forgotten sorrow.

I cherish green

Green speaks of leaves in trees

Fibers weaving landscapes

And minds imbibed with meaning

Grasping hands and forming bonds

Strength in numbers.

I desire blue

Blue deepens all perception of awareness

Promoting solitude to ponder

Understandings never meant to be

Left to the tides and regulated by the moon

Acceptance will be the key to set us free.

I yearn indigo

Indigo is the ticket to enlightenment

Like a halo and some wings

All fantasy of misforgivings lost

We speak of new beginnings

With separation there comes a cost.

I delight in violet

Violet, the vortex of evolution

Given diversity and our interconnectedness

Leaves life as a play

Lusting in the merriment of a rainbow

Differences of design from inception

Where all minds long to soar and flow.
