Inspired by They Were Welcome To Their Belief by Robert Frost
Wisdom thought it was the cause
fear cackle it was so sure
that the reason for the pause
was because they had occurred
~
his friends could not understand
why his presence was so still
how he sat observing them
never showing how he feel
~
when he came out of his comfort zone
it was into an empty space
his friends had all gone-on home
he only had himself to embrace
~
wisdom thought it was the cause
fear cackle it was so sure
however self-reliance
caused him to ignore the door
knocks coming from friends wanting to explore

I flipped the book over in my hands in the centre of the small airport book shop. Although I had heard promising reviews of Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid, I hesitated. The synopsis didn’t compel me - I wasn’t much of a space girly. In high school it made me cringe when my peers would talk about the stars.
