It is raining out and my mind, in maudlin fashion, thinks of my 2 sisters in their little cemetery spots getting wet. Somehow, I make a connection to the internet being the new cemetery where ghosts prove their existence. Coincidentally, I run across an article about deceased artists that never received their due in life, but they haunt the internet-ghosts! I discovered Nick Drake & Eva Cassidy because of that article, and I held seance with their music as I wrote this not but an hour ago on this day. Half meandering confession/ half poetic:

Remember?

when ghosts had no proof they existed?

Now we pull them up..

With a push of a button..

On the internet.

Once the milieu of ghosts..

They evolved before irrelevance devoured them..

Made their home on a medium..

In our living room..

On our phones

Used to go to a priest..

To make confession..

Be absolved

Now we confess to the whole world

Find a spot..

A site

Confessions are money.

Scandals are fortune..

Misfortune is disinterest

The haunting voice of..

Nick Drake singing River Man..

Pushes my pen across the scrap of paper

He possesses my moments,

with his melancholic lyrics..

strumming guitar strings intertwining..

with violins playing ethereal wisp of auditory colors..

like smoke from cigs & sweet incense sticks whirling like dancers on the floor of..

dimly lit barrooms concealing covert hands playing

The song ends

And I leave my metaphoric imaginations there

as I reenter the cold of reality once more..

But,

I am at..

Peace
