Serenaded by Sirens

Another Seafaring Mystery

By Chris ZPublished about a year ago Updated 8 months ago 1 min read
malevolent depths keep beckoning me

Fleshed flotsam cast asunder

by an unforgiving sea,

never known

for having shown

beleaguered sailors mercy.

From the Devil’s Triangle

to Niflheim, north of Thule

cardinal directions

stripped of their authority.

Tides turn

in a manner most unkind

A transient horizon line

ever ahead, never behind.

A gravity from which I can't break free

Syrens serenading me

to the pinnacle of

Challenger Deep's profundity.
