September

A doorway to autumn,

the cycle of life,

cooler winds gather,

an end to strife.

The sky breathes wider,

the fields exhale,

days grow gentler,

nights turn pale.

Leaves loosen their hold,

colors quietly burn,

the earth turns the page,

seasons return.

From summer’s weight

to autumn’s surrender,

all this change

we call September.

The imagery of the leaves loosening and the earth turning the page is so beautifully peaceful.

  • The Picture absolutely killed it, and amazing lines to go with it @verse voyager
