September Beauty
Summer fades into Fall (the Equinox)

Hot lazy days
Dripping ice cream
Jumping through the sprinkler
And cannonballing into the pool
Smokey barbeque in the air
White teeth sink into buttery corn
Heat that makes you want to melt into the pavement
*
Day and night are equal
The sun and moon share their time
Cool in the morning
Warm in the afternoon
Summery treats are leaving
*
Cool breezes
Jackets wrapped tightly around bodies
Apples ripen, sweet treats of nature
Green leaves turn to reds and golds
School bells ring amid children’s laughter
White teeth sink into sweet apple donuts
Cold that reminds you winter is coming
*
Summer melts

Lovely autumnal prose: I am featuring you on Vocal Social Society as part of our Dynamic Duo!
Autumn is my favorite season, and you did justice to it by describing it so beautifully (with all my favorite things included).
Lovely poem and images… I’ve never come across an apple donut.🤔🥹
Great description, the chill is beginning.
I like your descriptions of the change from Summer to Autumn. Great work.
A wonderful September/Fall poem, thank you for joining in
