The hardest thing that we learn, as people, is that sometimes we are not meant for each other’s lives.
Some people are only meant to stay for a season.
Maybe they are only meant to be there for five.
And they are there for a reason.
Some people are only meant to be in our lives to teach us a lesson.
Go off on a tangent to show a different viewpoint.
Give us their version of sitting in on lecture and class was in session.
It can give us a chance to open our minds to another standpoint.
However, there are people that are only supposed to be there for a short time.
The true colors they show may not always end up being healthy for us.
They no longer follow our version of music or how we rhyme.
And then there is that huge clash like hits like getting ran over by a bus.
There is fighting.
There is crying.
It is like a violent flash of lightning.
And inside we feel like we’re dying.
And then we lose those people that we held so close.
Our circle gets a bit smaller without them around.
And for a moment we feel the hints of woes.
And we do not know how to get forward, how to rebound.
After a while, the lesson is learned.
We move on like we are meant to do.
We deal with the blows that we earned.
And deal with the guilt of a want for a redo.
But, we still keep in some touch with mutual friends.
We learn about each other through the whispers of others.
Our hearts fill with joy learning of their accomplishments and watch them ascend.
And it teaches a lesson that some of us never realize is a hidden bother.
We want to watch our people grow even after they leave.
And know that they made it through trials and triumph and different ordeals.
And sometimes its hard to watch them as they weave.
And sometimes swim with electric eels.
Because we want you to grow and live your own life.
But, not in our vicinity because that time has passed.
And even though we have dealt with our strife,
I hope that you have moved forward and continue to surpass.
