Senseless

Making Sense

By Gerard DiLeoPublished about a year ago 1 min read

A look into my funhouse mirror

Fastforwarding my audio into high-chirped gibberish

A smell chases after me, so I rewind and review

The day that left such a bad taste in my mouth

No wonder I feel you, so normal—I'm finally home, making sense

Nicely done, and what a great pic.

Every... thing... makes... sense... in... time... Well-wrought!

  • Oooo, John has a sharper eye than me. Thanks to him, I noticed the brilliance in the way you ended with the word sense!

I read this three times before I noticed that you wrote a line for each of the five senses and then finished it with the word sense. Makes me wonder if you do this sort of thing often and I simple miss it. Clever, lovely and disorienting.
