Sight: pull the wool over one's eyes

1) In darkness, you swept me, through scratchy holes I saw, a piecemeal sight; I grew too full, too fast, so you must shear me, cut like a caul, the casualty is being clothed but naked, still.

Sound: blowing smoke

2) Puff puff, pass on information in a garrulous stream of your words: you lead me to drink first from the water and then from the wine until I'm drunk on information; my smoldering cigarette is the last unanswered question, falling from my mouth in a pivotal leap as you roar the blowing sound of smoke directly into my ear and watch me regurgitate your words like an oxygenated puppet master.

Touch: spinning a yarn

3) You spin a yarn, a fine cord of twisted fiber, weaving me where you want me to go: I reach out to touch the strands, but they disintegrate under inspection as a soothsayer speech is held together if the fibers are firm, so reality feels like a wet blanket if I question too much, the threads start spinning, spinning, spinning, born of softness from the weight you cannot muster.

Taste: lying through one's teeth

4) Your tale touched my teeth while through your own you spat words that tasted like saltine crackers gone to mush, both wet and dry in measure, the crumbs of them cascading down my throat as I swallowed, swallowed, swallowed, so I could not scream.

Smell: full of shit

5) He was full of shit and I could smell his lies before he entered a room, a Linus blanket cloud of stories he could not weave together, left to linger, one breakable chain linked to the next until the absurdity of it all was that I sought its warmth, despite the smell.
