Semiautomatic soul

this text was written exactly 10 years ago

You were masterful and deft

Took it large and took it small

And today that's all that's left:

Semiautomatic soul

Tooth for tooth and eye for eye -

If you win, you will control

All the world, just leave me my

Semiautomatic soul

I will cry, and beg and prey -

Years taking their toll -

But I'll never give away

Semiautomatic soul

You still think it's just a game,

Shake the dice and let them roll;

I at last give up and aim

Semiautomatic soul

Yes, you are the addressee

Of the last and final call:

That's the last thing you will see -

Semiautomatic soul
