It always leaves me completely breathless;

It turns me into the weakest link and,

To its victims, living becomes selfless.

-

It’s not just sadness; it’s a complete crisis,

Unfortunately, one I know firsthand;

It always leaves me completely breathless.

-

I try so hard, but it’s very vicious;

No matter what I do, I can never stand;

To its victims, living becomes selfless.

-

Sufferers left alone, feeling nameless:

A meaningless dot on this pointless land;

It always leaves me completely breathless.

-

Misery, the disease which feels cureless,

Is often so cruel that it will demand,

That to its victims, living becomes selfless.

-

I can’t escape; silence is not soundless,

(Endless whispers are so hard to withstand),

It always leaves me completely breathless,

To its victims, living becomes selfless.
