SELFISH VOTING

I think family is the beginning of being in a box.

I think parents raise you in a box,

And life out there expects you to think out of the box without forgetting what you learnt while you were in a box.

I think being raised in a family teaches you that we are unique to each other in just the same way we are not different.

I think every once in a while,

A building somewhere stops being a home,

And a new house is not necessarily a new home.

I think Christmas is a feeling,

And the older we grow,

We see more and feel less.

I think love lives because hate can kill us.

I think we all find a way to create a deep hole somewhere within us,

Somewhere we get lost to sometimes,

And there after try to find ourselves.

I think if you looked keenly,

You would see that love is what makes us equal.. in the same way rain does.

No one is too good or too wicked to experience the rain.

I think every new bypass in the city is not the new face of the country.

Often, that’s how we bypass the struggles of those living upcountry.

I think, no, I pray we experience love in this festive period that will open our hearts and our minds,

Because this or coming year is an election year and we have voted selfishly and stupidly for too long!
