Self Love Renowned
Finding love for myself after heartbreak and trauma has changed my life.
My past is marred by love not true,
by pain and loss not understood.
So many times I tried anew -
it seemed like tests were all I could
endure but never overcome -
for always living under thumb
and sometimes wishing unalived.
Yet, I could never give up hope -
for somewhere close true love exists.
I know it in my soul - the rope
that bound now loose around my wrists.
The love I've searched for now is found,
for I have found self-love renowned.
