Author’s note:
On necessary medical care being cost prohibitive, and on the desperate things people do for health. Not sure if it works in a haiku, feels clunky. But here it is!
I also had a lot of fun staging the photo :)
Initially I was gonna use a picture of a bunch of rusty tools off unsplash, but I wanted something a little more intentionally surgical looking.
But I’m personally very opposed to using ai generated images in my stories, so I figured I should just try and make my own picture :)
