Seeking Solace in the Unknown

Sometimes I want to disappear,

All I want is to be found.

I'm struggling beneath the surface,

carefully shrouded in a deep sound.

The sea of life engulfs me,

pulling me under its waves.

The darkness that surrounds me,

hides my cries among its caves.

My arms flail in desperation,

My heart aches with each breath.

An empty void within my chest,

that slowly starts to heave.

The stars above are calling me,

beckoning for me to rise.

A light piercing through the shadows,

a glimmer of hope in disguise.

The waves cease and I start to drift,

towards the light that's so blindingly bright

Like a phoenix rising from the ashes,

A newfound strength inside ignites.
