Seeing Red
A horror poem based on the colour red
All I can see right now is red.
As I bled,
All over the carpet with words left unsaid.
Running through my unclean head.
My words cut like a knife as my anger swung around like an axe head.
I'm filled with utter dread.
I can see the sputtering blood pouring out of my head.
I feel like I am lying on my death bed.
Look at it spread.
All over the walls and the bedspread.
I know should have fled.
The way my heart beats in pure dread
Erratic full speed, I am holding on by a single thread.

I have read a few people's posts in regards to this writing prompt challenge and I'd love to see some more!
Please feel free to comment on the original post or this one to make sure I see it as I will be picking my favourites from the month of October. I was hoping to find one for every prompt. Do one or do them all! Thanks for reading everyone.
