You can’t set yourself on fire to keep others warm

but I will light the night with every bridge that I burn

no quarrels were had to strip the clothes from my back

an open hand to be robbed with a tariff and tax

now you reap from the harvest every smothered seed I did sow

and find your demands being surrendered to silence and stone
