See The News, It’s All About You
You got your name in print for the wrong reasons

See The News, It’s All About You
The news was all about you,
The darkness of how you killed,
A wasted brilliant future,
Gone without a trace.
They painted you in headlines,
A shadow laced with sin,
But none of them had witnessed
The war beneath your skin.
Your name became a whisper,
A curse behind closed doors,
They spoke of what you shattered,
Yet never of your wars.
The echoes of your laughter
Still linger in the past,
A ghost of who you could’ve been,
Now silence holds you fast.
They say the past is buried,
Yet yours still stains the ground,
A story left unfinished,
No solace to be found.
No statue, song, or tribute,
No kindness at the end,
Just faded blood on broken glass.
A killer, once a friend.
And though the world moves forward,
Forgetting as they do,
The ghosts will keep on whispering.
The news was all about you.
You could have just taken your own life,
But you chose to drag them too,
Innocent, unknowing souls.
Their fate was not for you.
All because you wanted out,
Yet left the world in despair,
A selfish, brutal ending.
Proof you didn’t care.

Love this! Fabulous exploration about how there is so much behind why people do what they do and how much that is always overlooked by the sensationalism of an ending.
I have seen relatives in the news for the wrong reasons...and this speaks to me. Well done, M381Uk
