See Me in the Daylight Sun

A poem

The sun’s warm embrace

caresses my shoulders,

its light, a golden balm

as I sit by the sea

lost in thoughts of you,

so far away

in a distant land.

I wish you were here,

to see the waves dance

and feel this warmth.

I wish we could share a meal,

hear each other’s laughter,

your voice on the breeze.

I long for your visit,

for you to step into my world,

where the sun always glows with

a promise of togetherness,

under this radiant daylight sun.
