in rain

It's raining.

And the air tastes beautiful.

I dance.

The rain, soft as rose petals, touches my cheeks.

Naked, I dance

Face upwards

Leading me to peace

And an intense, everlasting joy.

The rain beats a rhythm that my heart syncs to.

Breathless, I dance a passionate step.

I fling with abandon my limbs.

My drenched hair stings my eyes and I smile with pleasure.

An ecstasy sweeter than death

Pulses through my body.

My toes dig deep into the mud.

I hope I never dry.

The rain whispers secrets in my ears.

Sad secrets.

Glad secrets.

I am a secret.
