Secret Keeper

Real Love

By Kelli Sheckler-AmsdenPublished about a year ago 1 min read

I carefreely whisper in his ear

knowing my secrets will be safe

With him I never have to fear

the gentlest smile, and loving face

His love for me, beyond reproach

his eye would never, ever stray

I snuggle in and hold him close

I swear, I've never loved this way

His tender kiss, without a fuss

he gives no matter who is there

Looks don't mean a thing to us

his scruffy face and curly hair

He loves me even when I'm moody

forgives without throwing a fit

When I feel ugly, I'm his cutie

Won't hold a grudge, not just a bit

I don't know how I'd get along

if he ever went away

The love of this unruly dog

grows stronger each and every day!

Could not be truer or better said about a dog's love.

There is no more unconditional love than the love of a dog. Well writ, Kelli!

Love this from the image to the end. Nothing like the love of a doggie pal. Great work.
