Screaming off of a mountain top

A poem

By Ariana MichealPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

I would scream off the edge of a mountain

That is how much emotion I have built up inside of me

I reach for your hand

I have reached too far

I have fallen off of the cliff

All the way down

Crashing to reality

I wish you would have tried to try to catch me

Looking up at you I see no emotion

Landing on the ground I am physically unharmed

I had to catch myself

Walking away I tell myself not to look back

One last time I give in and look

It is never the last time though

I look straight into your eyes

Wishing I could look right through you

I am not strong enough

You smile at me and I smile back

Questioning my emotions

I will scream off the side of a mountain top time after time

Never realizing that you will be the one to push me off

That stops now

sad poetry
