Scream
Every little thing I see and hear
It all comes together
Mingling
It grows before I can see clearly
Before I can organize and express
So it stays
And piles up over time
These words are simple
Witen out
It gives me time
Time the world doesn't offer
These words are my chance to scream
Ocean Depths
Shallow waters give way to a sudden drop
In the distance
People shout and laugh
You know the water will hold you
But what lurks below its surface
The others seem fine as they play
But the risk isn't something you can manage
Too many possibilities washing around your feet
Your ankles
The sands of doubt pile to your knees
Even if you wanted
It's feels impossible now
Down the shore you see many like you
Then something odd
Someone digs with their hands
They break free and dive straight in
The dark waters don't seem to bother them
Before long they are with the others
You look down at the sand
Then back out to sea
“It'll be fine” you tell yourself
