Love?
You don’t even begin to know a thing about love.
I, I know how love can tear a person apart inside and out.
How it can shame you and leave you wide open for all to see.
How it can defile you and leave you weak for the world to laugh at.
How it can make you sore, and insane, drunk on its promises.
I have witnessed first hand the lakes and rivers it can create from tears.
The storms disaster it can bring with cries and screams.
I have been in the crumbling lands of heart shatter.
I have watched as trains have avoided this pathetic station with no hope of true love returning where he or she belongs; to whom they belong.
I have watched the blind lead the blind here.
I have waited patiently like anyone who truly does love someone so deeply would.
Yet with each tick of the clock, my heart gets lost a bit more and I find my way further into this decaying city of paradise that was once ours.
A city we built on our hopes and dreams.
A lifetime we planned together is bottled in this place.
So believe me when I say I know more about love than one may know.
The heart ache in which I have suffered has certainly not out weighted the love in which I have for you.
I know of love, and I know of its self-destructive ways.
I know of its tricks and of its games.
It takes the strong and the yet few can survive but those that do.
Learn what is true.
