School Yard Secrets

There's nothing like someone who knows you inside out.

By Norma JanePublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Towhead hair danced in the wind.

Her deepest fears crawled under skin.

Shoulder to shoulder,

She held tight to Clementine.

Hand in hand,

Violet shared her secrets,

Some dismal, some bleak.

Yet, never once was she seen as weak.

Never in Clementine's homely sunset eyes.
