Scattered Symphonies

My ADHD mind poem

My mind is a constellation

Uncharted and wild

Thoughts spinning like fireflies

Impossible to catch, impossible to hold

Each moment a kaleidoscope

Shifting before I can grasp its pattern

Hyperactive whispers dance between

Concentration and chaos

I am a universe of interruptions

My brain - a brilliant, restless thing

Jumping tracks faster than language

Faster than understanding

Some call it disorder

I call it extraordinary navigation

Where linear paths are mere suggestions

And creativity bursts through unexpected windows

Dopamine chases me like a wild friend

Sometimes hiding, sometimes flooding

My attention - a mercurial creature

Untamed, unpredictable, magnificent

I do not fit into neat boxes

My thoughts are rivers without banks

Overflowing, connecting, transforming

Each moment a potential revolution

ADHD is not my limitation

It is my unique frequency

A neural symphony

Playing its own extraordinary music

I enjoyed reading it. It almost feels like I was inside your mind! I don’t have ADHD (at least I don’t think I do), but I sometimes wonder if I might and just don’t realize it. I often feel like my brain is all over the place, working faster than I can express my thoughts. I tend to start many things before finishing what I previously began. :)
