I'll always saunter towards you

I'll never shut my mouth

You're the key,

and I'm the drunk that's locked outside the house

You're inside,

and that's just fine

You're talking away,

and I'm outside

Left with my own disdain

Still when I'm searching for inspiration

I always saunter in your direction

You may decline politely,

but I know your shadow is always behind me

My inspiration,

and my muse

I'll always saunter towards you

I'll never shut my mouth

You're the key,

and I'm the drunk that's locked outside the house

You're inside,

and that's just fine

You're talking away,

and I'm outside

Left with my own distaste

Still when I'm searching for inspiration

I always saunter in your direction

You may decline politely,

but I know your shadow is always behind me

My inspiration,

and my muse

I'll always saunter towards you
