Morning walk
Perfectly overcast sky
Looks like it’ll snow
But it doesn’t snow here
All the benefits of the vibe
With none of the shoveling
Air is crisp, cool, and clean
And I feel pretty good for only six hours sleep
Brief, but delightful, dialogue
Accompanied with kind smiles
As I get my usual
Then continue on
Always a pleasant way
To start my Saturday
Hellish voices scream their hate from within the underverse
Grass beneath my shoes
One tied
The other loose
Remnants of morning grog
Sloughing off with every step
I fiddle with my ball cap
And hope that loud ass dog doesn’t rush the fence
He doesn’t
Too cold to be outside
But not cold enough
For the long sleeve shirt I wore under my hoodie

I really enjoyed the normalcy of this poem, just a brief snapshot of the day.
