One frosty night some weeks ago, across a clear black sky I thought I saw a UFO flash way up ever so high.
I grabbed my scope from the boot of my car (I keep it there for fun) and looked up at the amazing sight of Santa on a practice run.
Up and away, then swooping low and streaking across the land All dressed in red, wind in his beard and a pork pie in his hand.
Now as he flew, I heard him cry, Woah Rudolph! What’s that way up ahead? Down in the snow in a large corn field lay a puppy – possibly dead.
Quickly Santa parked his sleigh and found that mound of fur, He picked it up and kissed its nose and put life into her. Yes - a little girl all fluffy and cute abandoned in the snow, cold and hungry and all alone with no place left to go.
Santa quickly opened up his coat and pushed the pup inside, He climbed back up to the warmth of the sleigh so glad she hadn’t died.
‘You’re coming back with me tonight – we’ll gladly take you home, There’s a roaring fire and a plate of meat and the biggest juiciest bone’.
I watched him fly away that night a huge smile on his face, While the pup snuggled up and softly snored – glad to be out of that place.
When he got home, the pup jumped up and brushed against his leg, ‘You my dear will stay with me, I think I’ll call you Meg.
Santa has a pup called Meg, She’s an American Bulldog (we think) Her fur is all gold with black Tiger stripes and her muzzle is snow white and pink.
