Sandy Days.
Feel the sun on your face and warm sand in your toes.
Warm sand in between your toes,
Feeling the hot sun beam down on your body.
Building sandcastles, waves coming up onto the shore,
Washing away your sand village or just adding water to your castle's moat.
Watching the sun set over the ocean,
Having a bomb fire with a group of your closest friends until the sun comes up.
Just forgetting about all your worries and stresses,
Even if it's just for a little while.
Eventually making it home with too much sun and sand in places where sand isn't supposed to be.
But all you take in are the memories that will last a lifetime.

We had been noticing that many challenge entries, across prompts, naturally gravitate toward trauma, grief, and personal reckoning. That makes sense. Writing is often cathartic.
