I’m impatiently waiting for the bus on 8th Ave

Clouds are rolling in, full of rain in their hands

Time stands still but people are still rushing

The suns peaking through, I think the sky might be blushing

I’m impatiently waiting for 38 on 8th Ave

The scent of ocean in the air has me dreaming on sand

Jazz bands up the street have me clapping my hands

San Francisco San Francisco a glorious piece of land

Finally on 38 but the reverse do you see

38R rapid as can be

Skipping a stop and then a couple more

Why are we always rushing, is this city an eye sore?

From the Richmond to the Mission

South of Market-Chinatown

Hayes Valley-Embarcadero,

Japantown I am bound

Let’s not forget Oracle,

Home of the San Francisco Giants

That one twisty building

Not too far from the riots

San Francisco here’s to you

Your Victorian houses, Your history

Your breathtaking views

And all of your mystery
